"Dear Oxfordshire County Council,
Please pass on my complaint to your council’s legal, compliance and / or pollution monitoring teams
I am writing to ask Oxfordshire County Council to investigate whether NO2 pollution levels on both Hollow Way and Between Towns Road in Cowley are now illegally high, whereas previously they were not. If my suspicions are confirmed, I further request that the council uses its legal powers to immediately remedy this situation, with the aim of ensuring NO2 pollution on these roads quickly falls back below the legal limits.
I live in the Cowley area on [X Road - Fill in your road name], and am therefore directly affected by NO2 pollution levels in the Cowley area, including on Hollow Way and Between Towns Road."
5. Then fill in the "What do you think the council should do to put it right?" section as below:
"I understand that Oxfordshire County Council has a legal duty to ensure that its own policies do not actively cause NO2 pollution limits to be breached - especially if such a breach did not occur before the council policy was introduced. If the council’s LTN policies are found to have caused an increase in NO2 pollution levels on main roads around Cowley - especially to levels above the legal limit – I ask that council immediately takes all necessary steps to order the removal of the Cowley LTNs, even if the elected county politicians do not want this to happen."
